YES! Black Diamonds are as real as any natural diamond. As a matter of fact the only way to determine the authenticity of the diamond is by checking its chemical composition and atomic structure. Black diamonds have the same crystalline or isometric atomic structure as other natural diamonds which is carbon and impurities. The major difference is that black diamonds have far more impurities and inclusions as compared to white or other colored diamonds. The impurities are actually responsible for the diamond’s color. Black diamonds get their color because of the multiple inclusions and fractures.

Naturally black diamonds or natural black diamonds are rarest of the rare diamonds therefore are extremely expensive. Very-very few diamonds are naturally black where as other black diamonds have to be treated to achieve the intense black color.
